Recently (this morning, actually) I opened a twitter account. Usually, I'm pretty behind on the times with these new techy things and it's taking a while to figure out this thing. I don't send texts. I thought Facebook was going to flop and resisted getting an account. Anyone think twitter is going to have staying power?

Who else is on twitter? Do you use the twitter site, SMS or some other means to stay in touch? Anyone cool you can recommend following?

Help out a twitter noob.
