Samoa Samoa: Outstanding WSU QB in 1979-80 who, according to Coach Walden, “May have been about the best athlete we ever had at quarterback.” Samoa was a passenger in the car when teammate Rod Retherford was accidentally shot by Junior Tupuola in 1980.
