4x4: sounds like a test
4x4: Lindau. Killing me when I can't remember simple things.
The "pass" through the swiss alps and I use the term pass loosely was called Splungen. Or from the Italian side: Strada del passo dello Spluga.
Michelin describes it as: one of the boldest in all the alps, most spectacular."... it climbs the sheerest mountainside in tight hairpin bends."
Chiavenna was the Italian town you come to first, then essentially to Lago di Como.
I repeat it was not a "pass" that would entail travelling between two mountains. This hairpin-ed all the way up to a summit then down the other side. No pass. And we did the last third in the dark.
