Agreed.
Irish Times is certainly nice, given that its in a really cool building and all, but it is WAY overpriced. And its not very "social". Plus... I don't think I'm welcome back there after inviting myself on stage one night, stealing the microphone, and singing "Hey Jude".
And the Bay Centre is seriously the worst mall EVER. I hate that place. In fact, all of the malls in Victoria are significantly worse than most malls, so avoid Tillicum Mall and Mayfair Mall as well. If you really want to shop, stick to the smaller stores and boutiques, you'll find some good stuff.
I'd also suggest going to Cadboro Bay, which I think someone mentioned. Its a nice little beach, and around this time of year there should be some neat things going on like skimboarding competitions. Go to the little grocery store called Peppers that is right by it, and get some lunch to eat down on the beach!
