I'm hoping there's a parallel here to Nelly Furtado's career.

Her first album (Whoa Nelly) was kind of inspirational and empowering. Think "I'm Like a Bird." She was sweet and innocent.

Her second album (Folklore) was more mature. Think "Forca", "Powerless" and "Try". It had this "I don't need you, I'm a strong woman" vibe to it. It was during this time that she gave birth to her daughter.

The third album though (Loose)? I mean the wheels just kinda fell off. She broke up with her daughter's father around this time and things seemed to change. Many of the songs and her entire image changed to be all skanky and sexual. Promiscuous Girl? Maneater? You don't have to look too hard to figure out that message.

So here's to Shania emerging as a cougar on the prowl. Time to cast off that wholesome image and get back to the leopard print pants.
