Hugh Laurie hates, alot of things. He is a depressing guy, has been for a very long time, surprised you didn't mention that since you've followed his career so closely. I suggest you try to find a clip of the Amazing Randi's show, where he debunks physics and all that (I forget the name). Fry and Laurie were guests and a physic who was on the show tried to peg Laurie's personality as bubbly and excitable, Fry laughed it off, saying that his friend is borderline depressive and he is never happy etc. You've totally taken things Laurie has said and spun it like his moopy sadness is because of HouseMd and the Greg House character. Which couldn't be further from the truth.
Your spin and flat out lying to prove your point is a joke. Here is an except from Wikipedia about Laurie and his depression. Now, I know it's wikipedia, but the quotes are from Inside the Actors Studio, which I watched, and seen him on.

Laurie has periodically struggled with severe clinical depression,[1] and continues to receive regular treatment from a psychotherapist. He stated in an interview that he first concluded he had a problem while driving in a charity demolition derby in 1996, and realised that driving around explosive crashes caused him to be neither excited nor frightened (he said that he felt, in fact, bored).[14][1] "Boredom," he commented in an interview on Inside the Actors Studio, "is not an appropriate response to exploding cars".

So here's a tip for you friend, next time you seen a quote from Laurie or Fry about Laurie being upset or sad about House, remember that this is -- unfortunately -- just the person Hugh Laurie is. A very sad, very depressed man.
Just to hammer this home, about Laurie's depression.

I was a frustration to my mother.. I don't actually know why, there were big chunks of time where she didn't like me

Just a touch into the mindset of Hugh Laurie, and that his depression stems from his life and not.. Dr. Greg House.
