I've done it with an MP3 CD player, iPod definately would help make that go a bit easier, mind you I had no problems with just shy of 300 songs (I lost 2 or 3 of my CDs almost right away, haha)
Keep us updated with how that goes, in the east we'll make sure you won't be thristy (or atleast I won't)
