My family is mormon. They are former leftbridgians/Salt Lake City style mormons and heavy, heavy into church but my dad was sort of the black sheep of the family. Anyway, we are now on some kind of mormon call list and get visited all the time and harassed to no end. We moved to Somerset last year, since then we have had about 9 visits from the Mormons and about 4 copies of their stupid book dropped off in our mail box. I'm usually nice and polite to them but my significant other is Greek Orthodox and she has absolutely no patience for them. The final time they came over she was in the loft and I answered the door. Conversation went like this...
Brother Dave: "Hello, how are you today?"
Me: "Fine, thanks."
Voice from the loft: "Beat it you deadbeats!!"
Brother Dave: "Is this a bad time?"
Me: "Sort of, I'm just moving some boxes around in the basement."
Voice from the loft: "It's always a bad time."
Brother Dave: "Could we offer to help you?"
Me: "No really, I'm fine thanks."
Brother Dave: "Could we ask what faith you practice."
Voice from the loft: "The right one!"
Me: "Our children have been baptised Greek Orthodox."
Brother Dave: "Is there another time we could stop by."
Voice from the loft: "No!"
Me: "I don't really think that's a good idea, thanks, bye."
Normally she's not that rude, but they honestly came every week for the first month we moved in. How many times can they believe no means yes?
