The original question was "How to repel Mormons", not "Let's make fun of Mormons", nor was it "I wish the Mormons wouldn't come bother me at home, but I sure would be interested in learning more about them on the CP OT messageboard!"

The only thing "typical" about this discussion is the attempt to derail it into a discussion of how people shouldn't want Mormons to leave them alone, or how the Mormons' beliefs really aren't so wacky after all, or how someone who doesn't like religious dronebots at his/her door probably also sets the hounds on any Girl Guides who come by and then laughs as they flee screaming and wailing.

Again, if it's ok for Mormons to come to my private residence and try to tell me all about Joe Smith, his opium dreams and expertly forged sheets of goldplated gobbledy, then it should also be ok for me to go to their private place of worship and try to tell them all about how God is dead and no one cares. For the record, I don't think the latter is ok for the same reason I don't think the former is ok - BOTH are arrogant, presumptuous and lacking altogether in respect for other people's right to privacy.

What exactly is your point? Two current Mormon's offered insight. I simply pointed out that people are more interested in belittling them and their beliefs than actually trying to clear up some misconceptions. So how exactly is that out of line?
