I was about to say the same thing, took a while for anyone to speak up and say something.

They actually say that you are more likely to get help if you are attacked when there are only one or two people around than if there are many around. There's two reasons for this.

1. If you see someone get attacked when you are alone, you know you are the only one who can help, if you are with others many people think 'maybe there is someone else better qualified to deal with this,' or even selfishly waiting for someone, anyone to deal with it.

2. People are afraid of helping with lots of people around because they don't want to get judged, or look like they are doing the wrong thing. They are 'waiting to see what eveyone else thinks' of the situation. Kinda like when you THINK you have the answer in school but you're not sure. You may be hesitant to put up your hand and look like a fool. That's why, soon after one person speaks up, suddenly EVERYONE is brave.
