Also remember, the Democrats are great at getting people registered to vote, but abysmal at getting them to the polls. (I could see this happening with many folks, especially youngsters thinking there is
NO WAY McCain/Any Republican can be elected.)
Pair that with a well placed State/local anti-immigration bill, Marijuana legalization bill, etc. drawing conservatives to the polls, and I think it is entirely possible you will see a McCain victory.
