I'm heading to Halifax too at the end of May for a couple weeks, visiting a friend at Dalhousie.

Pretty pumped, first time in the Maritimes, actually first time east of Ontario.

What are some places to check out if I have an afternoon alone to explore?

We also hope to hit up some courses... any good golf values out there in Nova Scotia or PEI? How long a drive is it to the Island anway?

And... we're registered in the Playon street hockey tourney at the end of May. It says it's being played on Cogswell St./ The Commons. Just wondering what kind of lay out that area is. I played in Calgary when they closed down MacLeod for the weekend, which was pretty neat. Just wondering what the setup will be like in Halifax. Is that by the parliament building?
