I watched the first segment of the first episode online and then last night I flipped this show on just after 10. In the first 15 minutes there was 4 or 5 references to religion, including one guy getting baptized on the aircraft carrier. When I turned it on last night, all they were talking about was Jesus. It was even mentioned in the TV guide's episode blurb.

It looks like an interesting show and some of the footage is really incredible, but is this kind of a running theme on there?
Not at all.
However there was one entire episode devoted to how people deal with being on a carrier with such diverse religious views. Pretty interesting.
They talk about the many different Christian sects on the ship, they interview a guy who is convinced he's the only jew on the ship, they mention that there are a few muslims on the ship that were trying to get someone to preside over a service, hell they even show the small conven of Wikkans doing their thing.

They interview a few of the athiests no the ship who give the obligitory "don't force your religion on me" speal.

The whole point of the episode is to show the diversity among the crew, not to make the ship out as a big floating church. I think they did a great job of it.
