One would think that any human locked in such tight quarters would not be in the best physical condition. Hard to speculate why the daughter would not or could not escape. Maybe she was afraid for the lives of her children. Maybe if the father was over powered and killed the four captives would be locked in the dungeon to die of starvation. Very sad story.
I have to wonder how the four captives passed the time in such tight quarters? Will they all be mentally insane?
