How's your little buddy south of the border doin? I was on Proscar for just under two years. Took close to a year before it finally started working, but it definitely works. But holy crap did it ever slaughter my libido! Part of the problem of my thinning hair is because I produce close to double the amount of testosterone of an average male. And yet despite this, when I was on the pill I could go two weeks without even having the slightest desire to "get my pipes cleaned". Considering the amount of testosterone my body naturally produces, thats pretty scary. I finally got off it when I started dating my gf, as I didnt want to have any of those problems obviously. Be careful with that stuff, seriously. I've heard it can cause permanent problems downstairs if youre on it long enough.
Now I just use a 3 step shampoo called Dr. Murad. It seems similar to Nioxin(which I used for a couple months when the problem first started), and I've noticed its really slowed down the hair loss, almost to a stand-still. It started happening about four years ago now, and unless you've known me all my life, you probably wouldn't have the slightest idea that I was losing hair.
