I guess the balance that would have to be achieved for me to watch is that the reality of the situation must outweigh the glorification of it.
In other words, the killers had better be just that, killers, and the victims just that, victims. If there is an attempt here to pull a wierd Natural Born Killers slant to it, then that would be glorification (in an extreme sense).
This might continue the rather poor precedent that, if you're a successful and fearful serial killer, there's a good chance you'll get a movie made about your sinful exploits. Not really a good concept to be reinforcing, as some times these sick individuals do it for the 'attention'; what more attention can one get than a movie?
