Basically, once you have crossed the committment line, any play at home is a force play. They just gotta get the ball before you get there.

Correct, for the Central team league.
LAST difference between the leagues... there is NO commitment line for the SW league.
Sometimes in the SW league, the umpire will have you touch a "second" home plate (about 8 feet to the right of the normal one). It's inconsistent though, not every umpire does that, so ask before each game.
