There many different aspects of respect and while courtesy is one honesty is another

You could listen everyday and really pay attention but judging by the sentiment in this thread that is a pretty flawed strategy

At some level you just don’t care, it’s not important to you and if you keep trying everyday to listen to something that doesn’t have any value to you are just going to bread more resentment in a flawed attempt to show your GF/BF respect

If you really respect a person be honest with them

If you really don’t care about what they are saying let them know, you don’t have to be an ass just honest

That to me is showing someone respect
