Garage door opener on the way out, big time. Started firing huge arcs of electricity out of it last night, figured it may need replacing
I have checked the usual suspects (Canadian Tire, Rona, Home Depot) but thought it would be wise to check with the CP masses to see if there was any better place to buy one.
Not sure what brands are best but looks as though I will be spending at least $200. Any opinions on the difference between shaft or chain lift? It is a single small door, 1/2 HP should be enough, yes?
Any with good range? With my current opener, you have to be sitting right in front of the door for it to open, would love to extend that by a few feet too.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
