edit-If you think about it Bonds is the perfect fit, the Jays need left handed pop in between the gaggle of righties, he runs better than Frank, has a killer eye, doesn't rush Lind ahead of schedule........but he comes with more baggage than anyone in MLB history. Who knows, but regardless of the fit I can't picture Bonds wanting to come to Canada, I picture him being one of those "but then my kids will have to learn metric" Americans who don't understand there is civilization outside of the US.
I'm also concerned that players will see this as the team cheaping out and running from that 09 option.
How does the CBA in the MLB work, is Thomas due his 08 money regardless?
