Yeah. Västerås actually made it to the qualification round for the SEL (4 teams from Allsvenskan (second tier) and 2 teams from the SEL compete for 2 spots in the SEL) much thanks to Berglund and Backlund. They only won one game out of ten there but I think it was a successful season in their eyes. With Berglund gone I'd imagine Västerås is doing everything in their power to keep Backlund.
There was another thread where someone mentioned that Färjestad (one of the top teams in the SEL) had an interest in Backlund. Färjestad is in the middle of a major restructuring of their team where they did not offer new contracts to a lot of their veteran players. I think there's a very good chance that they'd go for Backlund and with Håkan Loob as GM it would work out pretty well for Calgary.
