Triumph was the only "real" rock and roll band that was there last night. Its kinda a shame that young people are growing up in an area where bands like Nickleback can construed as great rock bands. Its flavour of the week, emo, latte inspired music that dominates the industry now, where as some of the best acts are limited to playing seedy bars and indie festivals.

The talent of musicians has declined progressively since the video era came in since appearance > than musical talnent in the eyes of music producers and record labels nowadays. Today bands like Rush, Triumph, Rolling Stones even monsters like KISS and Iron Maiden would have no chance because of their visual handicaps, even though (with the exception of KISS) any one guy, from any of those bands has more musical talent in one of his turds than most these new era rock bands have in their en-tire line-up. And I am not talking from a state of opinion, I do play a guitar and Bass. Learning solos from 70's and especially 80's metal (been working on the solo from metallica's Am I Evil for 2 years!!) can take months to master, where you can master entire modern rock songs in matter hours.
