I'm not a fan of his position on guns, but I still think Michael Moore embarassed him badly in Bowling for Columbine. Picking on a senior citizen on the verge of dementia, especially with creative editing, isn't cool.

If you watch some of his epics - Ben Hur, the 10 Commandments, Planet of the Apes - they really are good movies and he really is the perfect person to have acted in them.

I'll miss him, but like Tranny, I won't miss his politics.
