In addition to Sammy, a south korean fighter died in Seoul in 2005, Douglas Dredge died in 1998. And its pretty much a given that there will be fighters dying premature deaths (ie - brain aneurisms) 10+ years down the road. Muhammad Ali is pretty messed up today, he never took any knees or elbows to the head and he won most of his fights. Ali probably wouldn't trade it for anything, but there are a ton of messed up ex-boxers you've never heard about.
