While the majority of the Chinese population in Calgary and Canada up to the turn of the century was mostly Cantonese from the Hong Kong region and thusly virulently anti-China, immigration from Mainland China has increased substantially in the past decade and that is probably leading to this, or it may simply be somebody pulling the strings down at the Chinese consulate in Calgary or whatever.

Absolutely Hack & Lube, they are entitled to protest (I suppose Western and Tibetan criticism) in the name of free speech absolutely, I agree. The Chinese have a military machine against the Tibetans, and all we really rely on is our international support due to the moral highground of our plight to freedom, and I pray our worldwide support remains with us until a solution is found, because by and large the Tibetan cause has been a beacon for peace since the takeover 50 years.
