I would probably find out what she is most afraid of, then put her in a situation seemingly by "accident" where she is confronted by said fear. (lets say for this example it is hobos) Then beat the piss out of that hobo in front of her to show her you care and are brave, and can also protect her.

Or, you could take her to a restaurant and beat up the biggest toughest guy there to show her you are the alpha male.

Either method is truly flawless.

Also I should add that girls love a firm open handed pat on the rear, it comforts them, especially around a stranger whom they have yet to get to know. It would be a great ice breaker.
