Well... This is a tough one. I built this PC in January of this year to replace the Dell I had bought the year before. This is an extremely high-end machine, so if you're looking for something cheap to surf the internet on, this probably isn't for you. I love this machine, but I'm being dragged into the laptop world. Work, girlfriend and all that.
Anyway...
Specs- Case: Rare, limited edition, 100% aluminum, "Ferrari Yellow" mid-size tower. Seeing this case is what actually inspired me to build this PC. (see pics!)
- Power: Corsair 520W modular power supply with triple +12v rails
- Motherboard: ASUS P5K with HD Audio, Gigabit Lan, Firewire, PCI-E x16, 4 x 3GB/s SATA II, 1 x 3GB/s eSATA and built-in hardware RAID - even supports the the 45nm intel processors
- Processor: Intel 64bit Core2 Quad 6700 (Quad Core - 4 x 2.66GHz)
- RAM: 4GB PC6400, DDR2 800Mhz
- Video: eVGA GeForce 8800 GT-SC 512MB
- Audio: Creative Labs X-Fi Extreme Gamer 24bit sound card
- System Drive: 1 x 150GB 10,000 RPM Western Digital Raptor (this is a lightning-fast hard drive, it was even rated faster than a SCSI drive)
- Storage Drive: 1 x 500GB 7200 RPM Western Digital Caviar
- DVD Drive: 1 x 20x Dual Layer DVD Burner (SATA)
- Operating System: None (although arrangements can be made)
Altogether, I spent about $2200.00 building this beast. The processor alone cost me $670.00! Not to mention the case that cost me $240.00 (but worth it).
I'm asking for $1200.00 and I'll even throw in my $180
Logitech 5.1 speakers!
