I had it numerous times when I lived in Nigeria and it ain't no fun. Wicked headache, backache, high fever and a lot of trips to the bathroom. The "cure" bit is perhaps a misleader as well. I would be cured but if I got tired it would come right back.

Apparently there was a drug you could take when moving out of a malaria zone to completely remove it from your system but I didn't bother.

Sure wish I had 4 grand for every bout of malaria. I'd have a golf membership, a set of Pings and good golly who knows what else!!!!
