Slower traffic keep right.

You can read what you want into it and justify this further, but that is clear. If you do not follow that sign based on your perceived high ground about the posted speed limit, then you are violating a long held tenant of highway travel which is backed up by this sign because apparently you were never exposed to it, and choose not to want to follow it.

I am happy for everyone who travels the speed limit, but if you are in the left lane and you are slower than someone who is behind you, it is obvious what you should do in the interests of safety and traffic flow. You may not get a ticket if you are doing the speed limit, but you are ignoring the intent of the rule.

Slower traffic keep right. It really isn't that complicated.
