I like to drive in the left lane on Deerfoot. It's a survival thing ... i've just about been killed too many times by idiots making a last minute dive across three lanes of traffic to catch their exit when I'm in one of the right hand lanes. I figure the chances of getting cutting off by these dive bombers is pretty much nil in the left lane, therefore my life expectancy is higher there. So I try to flow with the traffic in the left lane, and if somebody is catching up to me the courteous thing to do is get the hell out of the way at earliest possible opportunity.
Oh ya, if flowing with the traffic means speeding, so be it. If I don't want to speed I can stay out of the left lane. Either way, it's my choice.
