Hmm, i have used frequently in my life. I believe there are different strokes for different folks. I have many friends, some of which smoke and some which don't. I have two degrees, a 3 year career, and I have a band and a recording life, so I don't think it makes me that lazy or unproductive.

I have been involved with people who ship grand pianos of green(more keys than a grand). I have been involved with doctors who prescribe it as recreational pain relief. Personally, I have had lots of friends like those in this thread who used and now find it's just not for them.

I am almost there, but I willing put superheated smoke into my lungs. For how long I don't know. I don't smoke cigs and I am fixated towards oral activity like that(nail biting), so I decided to pick what tastes good and does something(although it's not much) positive for me. I started using because I wanted to escape problems in my life. I find that I still manage stress that way, but use it in other situations to promote creativity. Now at least I recognize this and point it out to myself so I'm not passively dealing with anxiety. Sometimes I just use it for social reasons, but then again that can get pretty taxing when you have as many friends in the hip-hop world as I do.

The funny thing is that other professional athletes do the same and consistently perform at high levels of sport, cough, cough, Kipper.

I honestly believe that the situations in which u use it greatly define your experience with it. Iff you use it to be creative then you'll reap those benefits. If you use it to escape and fill a void, you may end up outgrowing that potency and look towards stronger more dangerous substances. Unfortunately, the latter is so much more frequent that it gives Mary Jane that notorious label as a gateway substance.
