Last night went about as poorly as I feared... Lethbridge with an easy win in Red Deer, and Calgary getting stomped by Medicine Hat. Seems strange given we're still six up on Lethbridge, but today's game could well decide first in the conference. Either way, thank god for the new conference playoff format, and I really feel for the two Central teams that will be caught in the 4-5 match up.
Portland finally won a game, 4-3 over Seattle. Though they did so not without trying to blow it. After giving up just 16 shots over the first two periods, and skating to a 4-1 lead early in the third, Seattle rattled off 28 shots and two goals in the final frame.
One can only wonder what Kurtis Mucha might have done on a team with any kind of talent in front of him.
