I rather like Facebook, although I tend to ignore the vampire bites and other random swashbuckling that I get invited into. I enjoy having an open platform with which to interact with my friends. Especially the ability/ease of sharing pictures, setting up social functions, keeping in better touch with those out-of-towners, and the scrabulous app. So long as you don't allow every two bit mental patient to become your friend it's no more annoying than ICQ used to be.
But if I owned a 1.5 billion stake in the website I'd be selling. Buy my own private island and have someone else deal with the 'friends' who want me to become a vampire/zombie/pirate.
