it's called developing a quarterback people. I can't for the life of me understand why everyone (not just on this board) thinks that you must have a top tier quarterback all the time. THere are only so many guys that have been kicking around in the CFL for the last 8 years (bishop, crandle, maas, dickenson, calvillo etc). There has not been a single new quarterback on the scene in canadian football since Kevin Glenn who is already about a 8 year vet by now but spent several seasons on the bench in SSK, but it paid off going with an unproven guy.

Tillman is likely going to go with Durant or Jyles (who looked pretty good as EDM backup last year). He will likely give a young guy a shot and develop him into a winner (see: Kevin Glenn). Teams do it ALL the time in the NFL, just look at the Broncos and Jake Cutler, or the chargers trading Drew Brees so they could start Rivers.
