Default Did you ever want to thank someone so much....

.....but couldn't?

Man, I was driving back to Okotoks today, and was passing the Holy Trinity High School. I've been a little short on cash lately (Flames playoff ticket invoices were just sent out), and I was bombing down the kind-of-a-highway-but-not-really road that passes by the school at around 90 or 100km's.

I was completely off in my own little world, when all of a sudden I see this truck full of construction workers flashing their highbeams like mad, and waving there hands out the window at me. I'm going to honest, my pre-concieved notion of constructions workers led me to mutter 'what do these a-holes want?" . I drove for another two seconds before it hit me, and I slammed on the brakes, and slowed down to 30 km/h, and sure enough, the cops were hiding behind a sign with their radar gun.

Although it was kind of awkward because by the time I got to the cops, I realized i was actually in a 50 zone, so all four cops just kind of stopped what they were doing, and gave me a funny look as I passed by at 30km's.

Anyways, these guys went out of their way and did an awesome deed for me, and looking back now, I wish I could have givin them more than a "what the hell do these idiots want" look as I passed by them. So if any of you guys read Calgarypuck, thanks a lot, you made my day.

Any other stories out there of times you wished you could get the chance to thank someone for something they did, but do to circumstances, you weren't able to?
