Well, technically speaking, it takes about 6.8 seconds to mark off the ballot and drop it in the box... but last federal election took me 3 hours and 45 minutes from the time I left my house in the evening, until the time I got home.
That's longer than a hockey game! In fact, that's about as much time as it would take to watch a Flames game and then 3 quarters of a Suns game right afterwards.
Fun fun.
(Before people start typing out their impassioned pleas of "but people have died for you to have that right, and you complain about 4 hours?!"... 1) I'm not complaining, I'm stating. 2) I've never not voted because it took too long.)
