driving a big vehicle off the road to get to some place a car can't go (but is open enough to permit an SUV) is NOT real camping anymore than going to those drive-in designated campgrounds. Do you really have to destroy the environment in order to get somewhere nice enough to enjoy it? :angry: . If you want to find a truly good place to camp, you're going to have to get off your butt and hike in. None of the best places are vehicle accessible. THANK GOODNESS. Stick to the designated campgrounds...we don't need too many people cluttering up the backcountry.
