Tuomo Ruutu going to Carolina I think will be good. Carolina is a more offensive team and the South East Division is more open than the Central is. Fart Columbus, Detroit, and St.Louis are all stingy teams and Nashville isn't an easy team to play against on most nights either.
The Huet trade benefits me as Halak will now get a chance to play at least a little bit. I was fearing that he was burried in the Canadiens organization and that with him not getting a chance that he might eventually bolt for Russia. So this is positive for me.
Jim Vandermeer going to the Flames can't be a bad thing. He is getting to play pretty regularly and hopefully that will help him out.
Also with St.Louis moving out Backman and Salvador today it does give Wagner a chance to make their lineup on a more regular basis so that move bodes well.
Overall a lot of my guys are going to get some oppurtunities from a lot of the moves made today. But thats sort of expected when you have a younger team and you're trying to project where these guys will be next year or maybe the year after moreso than how they rate this year.
