It really depends on the office atmosphere, and often more importantly, the industry.

Some industries/atmospheres are much more anal retentive than others. If you have a strict dress code and permeating management, odds are posting anything the least bit humorous is not allowed.

In my office, anything that one could find in the Herald would be easily accepted. It would take something very lowbrow and ribold to cause any stir. Its a fairly easygoing, down to earth industry sector though.
