what about people who refuse to move to the back (or middle) of the train when others are trying to get on because they get off in 4 stops and don't want to say excuse me to the people that might be in their way - a terrific way to not let people get on the train when they need to.

JESUS!
I just started taking the bus to work today, and I couldn't believe that the people standing in the middle/back wouldn't actually
move back. It seems obvious that when the bus pulls up to a stop with a dozen people waiting to get on, and there are standers almost to the bus door, that people should begin moving back to make room. Instead I look up and see no one in the middle/back even budging, preferring to keep their double-elbow-room.
I almost started yelling 'move on back' but I figured that was traditionally the bus driver's job (and I'm not a psycho... not after just one day... not yet).
If this keeps up I'm going to bring either a megaphone or a gun one morning and just let 'er rip
