I also buy american.. The japanese stuff is so bland, the new civics are just hideous, I saw one of those new accord 2 doors the other day, it was so ugly I couldnt help but laugh.. Toyota hasnt had decent styling in years.. I also tend to agree with a previous poster about their quality issues, they have really taken a nose dive in the last couple of years.. American cars have really improved in the last 5 or so years.. I bought a GMC diesel truck last year to drive between shuswaps and calgary, its amazing. So much power, especially with the chip on, and I still get 21mpg.. The fuel is normally 20 cents cheaper than gas so I save a fair amount compared to a gas truck. Personally I think you get better bang for your buck buying domestic..
