I realize that some people like to race cars (legally), but you should have to get a special license to remove the speed cieling on high performance vehicles.

The new Nissan GTR has a GPS speed limiter in Japan. The car recognizes when you are at a race track and removes the speed limiter... pretty cool.
Personally, I think 50 over for a speed limiter would be reasonable. That's the magic number where regular tickets turn into court dates. Also, when passing on single lane roads, I like to be in the oncoming lane as little as possilble.
