Blast destroys Vancouver businesses

A massive explosion destroyed a Vancouver coffee shop and a taco shop, and damaged several other businesses early Wednesday.
The blast on the 600 block of West Broadway Avenue, about one block away from Vancouver General Hospital, engulfed a Starbucks and a neighbouring Taco Del Mar shop in what witnesses described as a fireball at about 2:30 a.m. PT.

Police on the scene said they were treating the explosion as suspicious, but fire investigators were also investigating the possibility it could have been caused by a gas leak in the taco restaurant.
