The threat of assignation or perceived threat, will be high for any president considering the United States perception in the Middle East. Sure hate groups in the US will want to see Obama dead. But like others have stated, despite their strong hate for African Americans (among others), they would not have the organization or the funding to pull it off. Any President, regardless of race or gender, will have the highest security since the threat from well funded highly organized terrorist states or groups is treated as a real possibility. Look at the security measures that have been put in place since 9/11.
