I remember being pulled out of school by my parents a couple of times to attend events, including the aforementioned 5-0 drubbing of Canada by the good ol' CCCP. I was only about 8 years old at the time, kind of makes me wish I was a bit older so I could have appreciated it but really, would a 12 year old have thought it was any more important? I hope to be able to attend some events in Vancouver when it's their turn. I'll probably have to start saving up right now to do it though.
