Agreed.
I do think though, given the age of boy that the adults involved be very careful to be totally impartial.
While a grade 2 child may know they are "not right", I don't think they are emotionally or intellectually equipped to deal with the raw facts of the transgendered community.
What I'm getting at is other kids asking things like "So when are you going to chop it off?"
