How well do these things work?

I'm flying up North on Friday for work, need to retrieve some equiment from a site that was broken into. I guess there is snow everywhere that is starting to melt inside and it's very wet. Small building about 12' x 8'.

How fast will a 8L resevoir fill up if the room is very wet? Never used these before, just wondering if it's worth buying a unit to bring up for the trip.
