From a league standpoint, I think Goddell would be forced to resign. Like the ESPN article stated. If true, this would be the biggest sports scandal since the 1919 Black Sox. The main players in that scandal never lived it down.

Oh please. Stealing signals is no big scandal. None of the pundits on Sunday (former players, coaches etc) could care less about this.

Dick Vermeil, who coached the St. Louis Rams to their first Super Bowl championship in 2000, doubts dirty tricks prevented the franchise from winning it all again under Mike Martz in 2002.
"Personally, I don't think it had any effect on the game," Vermeil said. "That stuff's been going on forever and I don't think you gain from it".
The NFL steroid problem deserves way more attention.
