Well its close, but at that time the Rams offence looked unbelievably unstoppable.
NE had no deep threat, and didn't have a great defensive line the way NYG has. Further NE has won all their games but had looked quite pedestrian doing it vs Philly, the Baltimore coach haded NE a game, and they squeaked by an extremely injured SD in the playoffs.
