No question NE did so many amazing things this season on a team record and personal records but if you don't win the big game then that is nowhere near as special IMO. 18-1 is an amazing record but Bruschi said it best "18-1 means jack when the 1 you lose is your last game. Nobody remembers 2nd place."
Patriots should be proud of going 18-0 but they can't be mentioned in the greatest teams ever since they aren't the champions. If they had gone 18-1 and lost a regular season game then they could be.
